Owlchemy Labs unveils Jack Lumber for iOS
Those that have looked through PAX East’s Indie Megabooth lineup may have noticed an unfamiliar title from Smuggle Truck/Snuggle Truck developer Owlchemy Labs.
Today, Owlchemy shed some more light on their first iOS game, debuting a teaser trailer for Jack Lumber.
Jack Lumber takes place in a forest inhabited by the title character, a hulking bearded lumberjack in the vein of Paul Bunyan. One day, his innocent grandmother is killed by a malicious, murderous tree. Consumed by revenge, Jack Lumber seeks to avenge his grandmother’s death by going on a Kill Bill-style path of wanton destruction against the trees that killed her. Gameplay mechanics include bullet-time slowdown, which allows players to hack and slash flying logs for large combos and high scores.
The path of arborous genocide begins when Jack Lumber hits iOS devices this summer, but PAX East attendees can pass by the Indie Megabooth for a sneak peek.
