Nnooo to start developing for Vita, confirms escapeVektor for Vita and 3DS
Australian developer Nnooo is expanding its horizons, announcing on its website that it’s been approved to publish and develop games for the PlayStation Vita. The news came after Sony made the announcement themselves at the Sydney launch party for the Vita and a Nnooo press release has revealed the first title to be escapeVektor: Chapter 1.
Nnooo previously released escapeVektor: Chapter 1 as a downloadable WiiWare title, which IGC previously reviewed. In addition to a Vita version, Nnooo also confirmed that their retro arcade hit is coming to the 3DS, with gameplay footage to be shown at this year’s Game Developers Conference. Both versions of the game are set to release in late 2012.
Before meeting with Sony, Nnooo had primarily worked with iOS and Nintendo’s digital WiiWare and DSiWare platforms. Their previous efforts include Pop and the myNotebook series. They’re also currently working on Spirit Hunters Inc. for the Nintendo DSi.
