The multiplatform Rock of Ages has already seen its share of delays. Unfortunately for PC gamers, ACE Team designer Carlos Bordeu has taken to the Steam Powered User Forums to announce the PC release date has been pushed again for the boulder-based strategy game.
Bordeu cites a heavy workload for their small team as one of the reasons for the one-week delay. Previously postponed to an ambiguous “late Summer” date, Rock of Ages has now been given a solid release date of September 7.
In order to compensate anxious customers, those that purchase Rock of Ages on Steam will receive free extras. One such bonus is the original soundtrack, to be included with the download of the game upon release. Bordeu notes that the soundtrack has been remastered and rearranged, similar to what ACE Team did with the Zeno Clash soundtrack.
The other big extra being offered is a PC-exclusive boulder: the troll face (pictured above). By popular demand, ACE Team is giving PC gamers a meme-shaped rock; one that players can use to run over opponents’ defenses, before incessantly mocking them with calls of “UMAD BRO?”
Pick up Rock of Ages for PC on September 7. Rock of Ages is also set to release on August 31 on Xbox LIVE Arcade with a PSN release to come shortly thereafter.
